2004-06-01 - 9:16 a.m. This will be closing my assignment portion of my diary. I know there will be many more embarrassing moments to come and I will record them here. Any diary is never fully completed when involving embarrassment. My most depressing embarrassing moment occured yesterday. I think it was more embarrassing for my boyfriend but I wouldn't know. After the Memorial Day Parade the Marine Cadets(which my boyfriend is part of) had a picnic at one the parks along Hines Drive. A friend of his that had dropped out of the unit came because his brother was still in the unit. Dave, my boyfriend, had taken to pretty much ignoring me after we got out of the car. The whole unit knew that I was his girlfriend. It was embarrassing to be rejected by Dave right in front of the whole unit. His friend sat at a picnic table with me and started talking to me. He kept looking me in the eyes and trying to cheer me up. Problem was he kept wanting hugs and he kept getting too close to my face like he was going to kiss me. On top of it all he knew I was ticklish so he decided he was going to chase me and tickle me. He was flirting whether he knew it or not. The worst part is that even though it was upsetting Dave, he never came over to interrupt it. When it was time to go Dave's mom called to me. We both walked toward the cars and the guy made sure to tickle me right in front of Dave. Dave got mad and told me to go get in the car. So now I was being rejected by my boyfriend and ordered around in front of the unit. He turned to the other guy and said angrily, "You got a lotta b****, man." At least he didn't put all the blame on me.
